Running a giveaway that doesn't blow up in your comments
Every giveaway has the same failure mode: someone replies "rigged" the second the winner posts. The fix is process, not luck. Write the rules in the caption before you close entries — what counts as an entry, when it closes, how the draw happens, when the winner is announced.
Then make the draw itself boring and verifiable. This tool uses crypto.getRandomValues — your browser's cryptographically secure randomness, the same grade used for security keys — running entirely on your device. Screen-record the draw, post the winner card, and the "rigged" comments never start.
Multi-winner giveaways
Each draw removes the winner from the pool, so "pick another" always gives you a new name — no awkward re-rolls when the same person wins twice. Run the grand prize last: announce runners-up first, build to the big one.
Is the draw actually random?
Yes — the winner is picked with crypto.getRandomValues, your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator, the same grade of randomness used for security keys. It runs entirely on your device.
Can I pick multiple winners?
Yes. Each draw removes that winner from the pool, so tapping "Pick another winner" gives you a different person every time. You can clear the winners list anytime to start over.
Do duplicate entries count twice?
Not by default — "remove duplicates" is on, so every name counts once no matter how many times it appears. Turn it off if your giveaway rules count multiple entries per person.
Do you see my entrants list?
No. The list never leaves your browser — there is no server involved. Paste freely.
How do I prove the draw was fair?
Download the winner card the tool generates and post it — it shows the entrant count and that the draw used crypto-grade randomness. For maximum transparency, screen-record the draw itself.
