How to get your data export

TikTok

  1. In the TikTok app, go to Profile → Menu → Settings and privacy.
  2. Tap Account → Download your data.
  3. Choose Request data and pick the JSON format.
  4. TikTok prepares your file (usually 1–4 days) and notifies you. Download it, then drop it in above — the user_data.json inside works perfectly.

YouTube (Google Takeout)

  1. Go to takeout.google.com and sign in.
  2. Click Deselect all, then scroll to YouTube and YouTube Music and check it.
  3. Click All YouTube data included and select only history, then export as JSON.
  4. Google emails your download link (usually within hours). Drop the takeout .zip straight in — no unzipping needed.
Everything runs locally with JavaScript + your browser's file APIs. No server, no upload, no account. You can load this page, turn off your Wi-Fi, and it still works.
Is my data safe? Does my file get uploaded?

Your file never leaves your device. Parsing happens entirely in your browser — there's no server and no upload. We can't see your data even if we wanted to.

Why is a stat missing from my Wrapped?

We only show stats we can actually derive from your export. If your file doesn't include a like history or channel names, those slides are dropped — we never fake numbers.

How accurate is the time-spent estimate?

It's a conservative estimate: videos watched × an average watch time (40s for TikTok, 5 min for YouTube). Exports don't include exact watch durations, so treat it as a floor, not a ceiling.

The parser couldn't read my file. What now?

Make sure you requested the full data export (not a summary) in JSON format. For YouTube, upload the original takeout .zip unmodified. Export formats change occasionally — if a fresh export fails, the structure guide above is the fix 95% of the time.
